Able Dog is a family-owned and independent professional pet sitting and dog training service founded by Elaine and Michael Chevalier. We are members of the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, and the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. We are also licensed presenters of the Doggone Safe family pet safety program and the Dogs & Storks family education program.

After many years of working with her own dogs and countless hours of research, Elaine Chevalier is very passionate about sharing her knowledge with her clients. Her educational background and interests include psychology, family dynamics, and business. She has also completed workshops and training for animal behavior.

Michael Chevalier is equally passionate in family safety and education. He is a former volunteer firefighter and safety instructor. He has also been a high school teacher, technical instructor, and college professor.

Both grew up with a variety of animals including goats, horses, chickens, and other critters. They are originally from Virginia Beach.
